Villa Sheherezade is one of the most majestic residences in the Mediterranean. A masterpiece of white stone topped with striking turquoise dome. It was built in the 1920s by a wealthy banker as a gesture of great love for his beloved. The history of this palace by the sea is inextricably linked with romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Villa Sheherezade continued to be a popular film location and attracted such celebrities as tennis star John McEnroe.

The master bedroom 1001 is called after the ancient book of Arabic folk tales, One Thousand and One Nights, which features a Persian king and his wife Sheherezade, after whom the villa is named. Dubrovnik is known for its Old Town, surrounded with massive stone walls from 16th century. Walking  through Dubrovnik you will walk through centuries. Long the main pedestrian street called Stradun you will notice many small shops authentic food and souvenirs and nice coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Taste delicious Mediterranean specialties at the taverns and restaurants, take an espresso or buy some of the typical Dubrovnik souvenirs like traditional filigree jewelry.

If you like being active we suggest you to take a kayak on Pile and visit Lokrum and Bete Cave. If you are a tennis fans Lapad offers tennis courts at Babin Kuk, the Bay of Lapad and Gospino Polje. You should climb the Dubrovnik walls when the sun falls. This amazing 2-kilometer long walk offers a memorable view over the city and open sea.
